Hi I'm McKenna & I'm a Mormon

Hi I'm McKenna & I’m a Mormon
I am an Aggie, I live in Utah, I love Europe and preparing to serve in Jackson, Mississippi.

About Me
I grew up in Southern California and now live in Utah. I am currently preparing to serve a full-time mission in the Mississippi, Jackson Mission. I previously attended Utah State University where I studied Elementary Education. I am a member of the Aggie Color Guard and in the Aggie Marching Band. I love to travel especially in Europe. Some of my favorite cities include London, Paris, Rome and Florence. I enjoy Broadway Shows, movies, reading and watching sports with my dad.

Why I am a Mormon
I was born in Southern California and into the church. My dad is a convert to the church and my mother has a long history of membership in the church. My mother's ancestors are of pioneer heritage. My parents come from two completely different backgrounds with two different stories. Both of these stories are so important to me and the building of my testimony. I have used their stories, experiences and example to become who I am today. I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father who has given me parents who love me for who I am and have been supportive of me in all that I have done. My father has taught me to hang on to all the experiences that I have had that the spirit has touched me. He calls them Sacred Grove Moments. These moments have touched me and has given me my personal testimony of the Gospel. Some of my Sacred Grove moments include the Sacred Grove, Pioneer Trek, visiting the Temples, reading the scriptures and having my prayers answered.

How I live my faith
I was born in Southern California and into the church. My dad is a convert to the church and my mother has a long history of membership in the church. My mother's ancestors are of pioneer heritage. My parents come from two completely different backgrounds with two different stories. Both of these stories are so important to me and the building of my testimony. I have used their stories, experiences and example to become who I am today. I live my faith by example and in my own personal way. I have enjoyed so many wonderful experiences and activities as a youth. Some of these activities include: Girls Camp, Youth Conference, Martin's Cove and Seminary. I have also been so blessed to live our faith with my family. We have done so much together and have enjoyed growing in the gospel together. We have experienced visiting the Sacred Grove, seeing the Palmyra Pageant and visiting other LDS historical sites. We visited Fort Bridger in Wyoming which was purchased for Brigham Young by my mother’s Great Grandfather Robison. We have enjoyed family activities of all kinds. I live my faith by following the example of our Savior. For the next 18 months I look forward to serving in the areas of Mississippi and Louisiana. I am so grateful to be called to serve as a missionary for this wonderful and true church. My life has changed because of the gospel and I want to change other’s lives. I am excited to lose myself in his work and to be able to gather up the lost sheep of Zion and to bring them back to their shepherd "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:19-20)"
